From childhood, fairy tales enter our consciousness, our reading experience. And if a reader of different ages is asked to list the heroes of a fairy tale, then, undoubtedly, they will be primarily mythological characters - Baba Yaga, Koschey the Immortal, the Serpent, etc. These heroes were created by the people's consciousness precisely as mythological ones, most often personifying certain natural phenomena.

A mythological image can be a source of not only folklore, but also author's literary works. In world literature, we often meet with such examples.
