Publisher's overview:

"The dust of the roads, the thrill of the outdoors, the crossed gazes of strangers".
How sweet those words sound. Were we not troubled by suspicion, how easily we would let ourselves be taken in. We would follow them, these writer-travelers. We would set off with them. We would taste the dust, we might even get down on all fours to lap it up. But elsewhere no longer exists. This must be announced to the signatories, though I cannot say whether this is good news or bad. Visiter le Flurkistan is a critique of the "Manifesto of the 44 writers for a world-literature", an inquiry into the state of reality in an age of generalized fiction, and the sketch of a stratified writing: "Not with one's feet in the dust, but in the very factory of that dust".

Camille de Toledo is a writer and filmmaker.
He is the author of Archimondain Jolipunk (Calmann-Lévy, 2002), L'inversion de Hieronymus Bosch (Verticales, 2005), and Vies et mort d'un terroriste américain (Verticales, 2007). He has also published, under the pseudonym Oscar Philipsen and alongside Keren Ann, Rêves (La Martinière, 2004).
