Who is stronger than the Snow Queen? (based on H.K. Andersen's fairy tale “The Snow Queen”)
Andersen Hans Christian
In H. K. Andersen's fairy tale, the Snow Queen is majestic and powerful. It can cover the world with snow, freeze everything around, but the worst thing is to make a person's heart icy and cruel. The queen looks very beautiful ("Her eyes shone like stars..."). But there was neither warmth nor peace in those eyes, because they carried only evil.
The Snow Queen kissed Kai and made him her obedient student, deprived him of his memory and sense of true beauty.
The boy's friend Gerda went in search of a friend. she had to visit the magical garden of a woman, and a robber, and a Lapland woman and a wise Finn, and the palace of the Snow Queen. She overcame a long way, cold and hunger to save Kai. And then with her tears she melted the ice and the sliver of the magic mirror. The boy became himself again and overcame the Snow Queen's spell.
During the last meeting, the little robber, looking at Kai, asked: "Ah, you tramp. I would like to know if you are worth running to the ends of the earth for you?" Gerda was silent. But readers can now answer: "Worthful!" A person is always worth fighting for, even if he seems completely lost.
Humanity is the beauty of the human heart. This is the power that even the Snow Queen's sorcery cannot defeat. How can one not remember the words of an old Finn about Gerda: "I will not make her stronger than she is."
So, stronger than the Snow Queen was the little girl Gerda, who had a warm, sensitive heart in her chest, was faithful in Friendship, persistent and courageous in achieving her goal.
